Jazz in the Park
Jazz in the Park was hosted at the International Peace Gardens on August 25, 2024. This free event was dog friendly and accessible to all ages.
Glendale park pickleball court designs
Salt Lake City Parks and Public Lands has completed an initial design for the conversion of some tennis courts at Glendale Park into pickleball courts. The city is seeking feedback on the design and thoughts from the public. Learn more about providing feedback and see the preliminary designs!

The Salt Lake City Planning Division has received a request for Planned Development at 1532 S 900 W (Zone: R-1/7,000 Single Family Residential District). Public comment is open until December 29, 2023.
Jordan River Trail Art Panels
New art panels have been installed at the Fife Wetlands, International Peace Gardens, Three Creeks Confluence Park and the Peace Labyrinth along the Jordan River Trail.
Breaking ground at Glendale Regional Park
We celebrated breaking ground at the future site of Glendale Regional Park at 1200 W 1700 S! We're excited for progress at the site and for a place where the westside can get out and play.
pickleball engagement survey
Salt Lake City adopted the Glendale Regional Park Plan in 2023. Public engagement throughout the process demonstrated a need for pickleball on the site — initially, the plan aimed to introduce four new pickleball courts while maintaining the existing eight tennis courts.
Zoning Map Amendment Request: 927 and 929 S Navajo Street
Salt Lake City has initiated a petition to amend the zoning map for city-owned property at 1050 W 1300 S. The proposal would rezone the property from R-1/5000, Single-Family Residential to RMF-30 Low Density Multi-Family Residential District.

The SLC Planning Division has received a petition for the Design Review for the property at 1665 W California Ave. This project requires Design Review approval by the Planning Commission for additional height over 30’, for a maximum of 45’.
Traffic-calming murals
The Glendale Neighborhood Council Arts Committee recently finished three traffic-calming murals throughout the neighborhood. The murals were inspired by the path of the Jordan River through our neighborhood and our connection with it.
